Your
Library Card-
Any
Kewanee Public Library District resident or property owner,
Kindergarten age and up
may get a free card. In order to
maintain accurate records and protect our patrons we
require 2
forms of identification, whether it is a new card or one that
you are renewing.
One ID needs to include a photo, such
as your driver’s license. The other ID can be a piece
of mail that you have
received, your check book or something showing your name and
current address. Once we verify that you are eligible, we
ask that you update your current application or fill one out.
It
takes approximately 5-10 minutes to issue a library card, so
stop by today and apply
or renew.
If
you need to replace your current library card we do charge
$1.00 for the first, $3.00 for
the second and $5.00 for the
third or more replacement card. If you have an expired
plastic card we can simply update it at no cost to you, so
don’t throw it away.
Parent
or guardian signature is required on anyone under the age of
18 years.
All
accrued fines must be paid in full before a person's current
or expired library card can
be used or updated.
Please
call the Library at 852-4505 with any questions.
