MAY ACTIVITIES

Don't forget to register for "The Bubble Guy" by May 2. Call 309-303-4664. Then come see Geoff Akins aka "The Bubble Guy" on May 10 @ 4pm sponsored by Child and Family Connections of Central Illinois.

The Henry County Genealogical Society is sponsoring two great programs. On May 17 @ 1:30pm John Butte will be here to talk about his book "Darlene's Silver Streak & the Bradford Model T Girls". Then on May 23 @ 1pm, Steve Morrison will be talking about One Room Schools in Henry County. The public is invited to both programs!

Check out two of our newest continuing programs!
Relax with Colors Adult Coloring Time We have three different times scheduled during May so stop in and relax with us while you color!

Friends of the Library present "Creativity @ the Carnegie". Come "sit & sew" with your knitting, crocheting, embroidery, cross stitching or quilting. We had a nice turn out in April but we have room for more!

RECIPE ROUND UP
is back!
Our May theme is "National Hamburger Month". Find a recipe that fits the theme, make it and bring it along with copies of the recipe to the KPLD Community Room on Thursday, May 26 at noon to share with our Recipe Round Up members! Join us for good food, friendship, and lots of laughter!

LEGOSLEGO DONATIONS
Don't know what to do with those bins of LEGOS the kids have outgrown? The Youth Department is looking for donations of LEGOS. We are happy to take used LEGOS that are in good condition to use for a monthly program for elementary school students.

Driving-Tests Logo 300-115Kewanee Public Library District is partnering with Driving-Tests.org, a company dedicated to driver safety and education, to offer free DMV practice tests to library patrons. The new service includes free tests, written specifically based on Illinois DMV materials, and is the only site of its kind to include accessibility tools that allow users to hear selections read aloud, make them into MP3s, translate pages into other languages, magnify text, and mask sections of the screen for greater visibility on driving practice tests. Click on the link above or go to our E-Resources tab at the top of the webpage and scroll down to the link.
