Music @ the Carnegie Saturday, October 25th
"The Legacy Girls"
Get your tickets while they last to hear the songs of the Andrews Sisters. Cocktails begin the evening @ 6:00pm with dinner catered by P.L. Damron's following @ 6:30pm. The music portion of the evening will be from 7:30pm-9pm. A few tickets are still available at the circulation desk on the main floor.

5th Annual Art Show October 20th - 25th
Get your entries ready to drop off at the library during library hours (9am - 7pm) on Monday and Tuesday, October 13th and 14th. The exhibits will be on display in the library community room from Monday, October 20th - Saturday, October 25th. You can stop in anytime at the Information Services desk in the lower level of the library to pick up a brochure outlining the guidelines and procedures. Additional entry forms are also available at the desk or here. The art show is open to the residents of the surrounding towns as well as Kewanee residents.

Library Receives Grant
A Project Next Generation Grant for the program Teens 'n' Technology has awarded the Youth Services and Young Adult Departments a total of 10 new computers plus additional equipment and books to be used in mini courses on technology. During the 2014-15 school year, Information Technology and Youth Department members will teach six mini courses to students in 7th - 12th grades. Topics for September and October include: Using PowerPoint and Digital Photography. This program is sponsored by a grant which was awarded by the Illinois State Library (ISL), a Division of the Office of Secretary of State, using funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), under the federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA).
