AUGUST ACTIVITIES
Kids can stop in on August 6 & 20 between 10am and noon for LEGO Drop-In Saturdays in the Youth Department on the second floor. See Sarah Barth in the Youth Services Dept. to find out about the "Horror" Book Club! Also, the Henry County Genealogical Society is presenting "Currier & Ives" by Bud Aupperle. Check the events calendar for details.

Check out two of our newest continuing programs!
Relax with Colors Adult Coloring Time
We have three different times scheduled during August so stop in and relax with us while you color!

Friends of the Library present "Creativity @ the Carnegie". Come "sit & sew" with your knitting, crocheting, embroidery, cross stitching or quilting. We had a nice turn out so far but we have room for more!

RECIPE ROUND UP
is back!
Our August theme is "Salads". Find a recipe that fits the theme, make it and bring it along with copies of the recipe to the KPLD Community Room on Thursday, August 25 at noon to share with our Recipe Round Up members! Join us for good food, friendship, and lots of laughter!

LEGOSLEGO DONATIONS
Don't know what to do with those bins of LEGOS the kids have outgrown? The Youth Department is looking for donations of LEGOS. We are happy to take used LEGOS that are in good condition to use for a monthly program for elementary school students.

Driving-Tests Logo 300-115Kewanee Public Library District is partnering with Driving-Tests.org, a company dedicated to driver safety and education, to offer free DMV practice tests to library patrons. The new service includes free tests, written specifically based on Illinois DMV materials, and is the only site of its kind to include accessibility tools that allow users to hear selections read aloud, make them into MP3s, translate pages into other languages, magnify text, and mask sections of the screen for greater visibility on driving practice tests. Click on the link above or go to our E-Resources tab at the top of the webpage and scroll down to the link.
