"ABRAHAM LINCOLN IN SONG"
Presented by Chris Vallillo! "Abraham Lincoln in Song" is a musical program that sheds light on one of history's most beloved figures. In this historically accurate program, Chris uses period music Lincoln may well have known and sung, and Lincoln's own stories to illustrate his life and put it into context. The show is designed to be an interactive, accessible program that educates as well as entertains. It covers Lincoln's life from his birth on the big south fork of Nolan's Creek in Kentucky in 1809 through his death in 1865. "Abraham Lincoln in Song" is geared for elementary school students to adults. Please plan on joining us for a GREAT program!

KEWANEE NEWSPAPER DIGITIZATION UPDATE
We have had fantastic community response to our project so far as well as the help of the Kewanee Historical Society and the Henry County Genealogical Society. We have 220 rolls of microfilm (through 1961) digitized and available online. There are just over 200 more rolls to be done to bring the project up to the end of 1999. We have been notified that the cost of digitizing will be increasing sometime in 2018. At the present time, the cost per roll is $95. This would be a great time to start your 2018 donations which would help us take advantage of the lower price. If you would like to donate, please contact the library. Anyone, not just Kewanee Public Library District patrons, are able to access this particular link to look at the old newspapers.

RECENTLY RELEASED MOVIES!!!
We are now showing a recently released movie on the second Tuesday of the month @ 2pm. February 13th will be "Only the Brave"! We want to thank Wanee Theater for providing us with popcorn! If you missed it at the theater, you still have a chance to see it on the big screen!

ACCESS TO DIGITIZED NEWSPAPERS
The Henry County Genealogical Society, Kewanee Historical Society and Kewanee Public Library District are requesting donations to digitize the Kewanee newspapers now on microfilm here at the library. Once digitized, the newspapers will be able to be searched from your computer. The link to the first group of newspapers that we had digitized is now available for you to use. Click on the heading above and it will take you to the newspapers. This is an ongoing project and as more of the microfilm is digitized, it will be added to this link until all of the microfilm has been digitized. Anyone, not just Kewanee Public Library District patrons, will be able to access this particular link to look at the old newspapers.
